Hakka Cottage

This was our 1st restaurant experience in Toronto. Whilst visiting from the UK. All Halal Chinese restaurant and they don't serve alcohol which was great. Food was very tasty and portions were large. Great service and advice what to eat. I would highly recommend.

Owner was very friendly and did his best to offer top service while the restaurant was nearing closing time and still quite busy. The food was all freshly made and delicious, this is a place that takes the time to put love into the food, something I find has been lost at many of the hakka restaurants in the city these days. The Bombay fish was delicious, as was the deep fried squid, both were cooked to perfection. The hot and sour soup was made with fresh ingredients and it wasn't the same run of the mill soup you get at most places. Overall I was very impressed with the food and the service but the best part was the fact that the prices were better than any other place I have found in the GTA. Great food at a very reasonable price.

Delicious food, fantastic service and good seating. The portion size is huge and price is reasonable. We enjoyed our dining experience.

Just one thing, price always mismatch. However, pocket friendly place with quite similar taste of indo-chinese restaurants of India. Believe me, food is very delicious. I have just issue with price of menue and bill. They never match.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I ordered takeaway from Hakka Cottage and was seriously impressed by the quality of the food. Everything was packed well, arrived hot and fresh, and tasted absolutely delicious. You can really tell that the ingredients are fresh and that a lot of care goes into the cooking. The Dragon Shrimp and hakka noodle were full of bold, authentic flavors — just the right balance of savory and spicy. The portions were generous and satisfying, and nothing felt greasy or overly salty like some takeaway meals can be. Ordering was easy, and the staff were polite and efficient. The food was ready on time, and everything we tried exceeded expectations. This is definitely going to be one of my go-to spots when I'm craving Hakka food. Highly recommended for takeaway!

Amazing Hakka food. We ordered for pick up, phone call was quickly answered, we ordered, we were told 20 minutes. Food was ready on time, already packaged! We got the Manchurian chicken fried rice, Bombay chicken, and Chili beef with gravy and everything was 10/10. The Bombay chicken has a nice little crisp to it and a lovely kick. The rice was fantastic too! My partner loved the beef as well! Would definitely recommend!

I ordered the general tao chicken. It was very spicy food. Also too much sauce. No lunch menu. Had to order rice as well. Would have liked a lunch combo.

Amazing food! The hakka beef noodles were awesome. Loved the beef broccoli too. Fried rice was good and so were the chicken balls. Sweet and sour chicken seemed like it was more batter then chicken but was tasty. Plenty of food to feed our family of 5 adults and 1 child for $60! Definitely will order from them again despite it having a bit of a run down appearance from the outside.
